About the Founder
Ellis Clark
Ellis Clark is a native Detroiter who founded the Ellis Clark Foundation in 2015 to claim Gen-Z’s rightful place in Detroit’s recovery and to advance community power globally.
Ellis’s work spans community development, public policy, voting rights, arts and culture, displacement prevention, and youth leadership. Outside the Foundation, he has worked in banking and electoral politics and has served on the boards of multiple charitable and service organizations.
He is a graduate of St. Paul’s School, School Year Abroad, and Brown University.
